Recently bought a .54 cal knight mk85 for dirt cheap and plan to hopefully use it in Oregon this year which requires full bore lead bullets with no plastic attached. If my encore was Oregon legal then I would just use the 385gr Great Plains and call it a day.

I know nothing about .54 caliber conicals except they seem rare. So for those with some experience in this realm what is your preferred .54 conical.

Not a popular caliber. No Excuses make a couple .54 options. And there was a guy on MML selling some .54 Hornady Great Plains not long ago (he may still have them).

I have been shooting the Hornady Great Plains (now discontinued, but can find on occasion) and had good success. Last fall I used the No Excuses bullets mentioned above, the loaded easier and were more accurate. I was using 80-100 (hunted with 100gr) and was successful.
