Oregon Wolves - What can outdoorsmen do?

Ok well thank you for the wildly informative answer.

Are you suggesting that the Oregon fish and wildlife commissioners are not somehow appointed by the governor ? And the Oregon senate has to confirm their appointments ? And the governor is not somehow emboldened by sweeping support for his agendas and ideals by the legislature who he rubber stamps and vise Versa ?
should I also Google how policy is made ? And whom in particular has a sweeping policy of "no predator management "

yapping about wolf management with no clue what the fk you're talking about.

Maybe have a 10 year old Google who has the authority to manage Wolves in OR; the only aspect the Legislature played is creating the Statute giving ODFW management authority.

PS; the Oregon Governor is a she, as was the last one. Oh, and the Management Plan review should be coming up again in a few years. If you want change, maybe start there; that would be with ODFW by the way.

And there you have it. We just need to fix government corruption and partisanship to solve the wolf problem. Glad you’re here to tell us about it. You really answered the question with that one.
Yes we do have to fix government corruption but that has zero to do with the wolf problem in Oregon.
If you visit a web page called "The Humane Scorecard" - the top of the list Google gives you will be a link to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) page which gives approval ratings of Federal legislators.
The HSUS is not an animal protection group like they market themselves - but its an animal rights group (AR) - big difference because AR groups are anti-hunting, anti-predator control, anti-meat eating and all the way down to anti- animal ownership, including our beloved pets! The HSUS works hand in hand with PETA because PETA will go in to raise hell, then the HSUS goes in and offers a compromise -- which is always a step closer to the AR agenda!
The Humane Scorecard page shows a map of the states and if you navigate to any state you'll find that the left gets an average approval rate of 80% and it's never changed throughout the years! Both Oregon legislators get a 100% approval rate because they support and vote for all legislation the HSUS writes.
Before anyone objects to the point that this page only lists federal legislators, know this: I've been deeply involved in fighting AR legislation in Oregon since 2003 but before that date it was the same - Oregon state legislators on the left have support ed and voted for AR legislation 100% of the time!
So what about Republicans? The Republicans in the federal government get an approval rating of 20% across the nation and Oregon Republicans would be rated even lower because they seldom support or vote for AR legislation in Oregon!
So it's not corruption we need to address for the wolf problem but it's the super majority political party in Oregon that needs to be addressed!

It is the same in California, which is now considering a ban on coyote hunting in order to prevent mistaken wolf kills.

Nationally, right now we have a Executive and Legislature in power that could change Federal laws, which might help. Change ESA and EPA and take away some of the legal powers these NGO's use.

The "Equal Access to Justice Act" also needs amending to keep those ultra rich animal rights groups, like the HSUS, from abusing it!
