Oregon Rifle Company - OMR Barrels

I am wanting opinions on overall success or disastifaction with OMR Barrels. Specifically the barrels and not gun building or gunsmithing.
I am in search of a Shouldered Carbon Prefit in a 300 WSM. I have read numerous posts where Proof cant seem to get things right in 30 cal and Carbon 6 are all over the board. I can't seem to find anything recent on OMR and some of the dated info I find is geared more towards poor gunsmithing stories. Therefore, I decided to start this new thread in hopes of hearing from folks that have purchased and used an OMR barrel.

I would also welcome any other carbon suggestions from experienced users in a 30 cal offering.

I have one on a tikka in 300WM and it shoots well. No issues so far and have had it for a few years. Have another buddy that has the same barrel and also likes it. I also added their self-timing break. It makes a lot of noise but does a good job reducing recoil.

I’d also be interested in feedback on the OMR barrels. I’m awaiting a 6cm prefit that ordered from them in late February.

I decided that after a bad Proof 300 WSM that I am done with carbon barrels!

I ended up going with a Kreiger Steel for this build.

I have one on my Howa build in 6.5-284 Norma. Great shooter so far with a low round count. I would purchase from them again. I emailed ahead of time and they do a rather good discount for mil/veterans.

Did you have OMR fix the barrel on your action or did you purchase it and install yourself?

I am very pleased with my 16” 6 creed barrel on my tikka. Shoots excellent and it was a pleasure working with them. They are located in Billings, MT now, so it was also a big bonus to support a local company. 108 eldm factory ammo is shooting 2780fps, plenty of speed for my needs.

I have had probably 20 OMR barrels everyone has shot lights out.. lee is too notch. I have had several 6.5 prc , 1- 6 creed , 3- 6.8 western and several 300 prc barrels from them . I would recommend them to anyone

Hope my 6.5 prc is a shooter, it’s sitting on a stainless action waiting for me to bolt up to a stock

Hind sight 20/20 I’m done with carbons. This will be my last. Have 3 now. Pbb from @hereinaz ls wild in the hybrid lite contour will be my go to. I dig it and shoots great.
