Hello! Heard about this awesome forum from a buddy, finally decided to check it out. Didn't take long to get registered. I'm afraid my wife is not going to like my spending after perusing the forums............Anyhow, this guy is the top of the hit list. This was last year in velvet, pretty sure he's still out there somewhere. Area is a bit more overgrown so the pictures I have this year aren't too clear.

Thanks! I drew the "premium buck hunt" tag for the unit I'm in so I can hunt 8/1-11/30. Waiting for the beloved rut to kick off early November and hopefully he'll be around and make a mistake.

Wow, I didn't realize the season lasted that long. I'm itching to come up to the NW to chase Blacktail. Keep us updated on your season.

It’s not that long. He drew a “premium tag”, which they only give one away per unit. Archery season is basically a month in September and a subset of units has a late season hunt that lasts about a month between November and December.
