I'm looking around but figured I'd inquire if RS folks see some other options. I'm looking for a bright/blaze orange puffy jacket. There are lots of "rust" and such jackets but I'm looking for something as close to a blaze as feasible, something no game warden would give you shit about if they came upon you with that on while glassing. Ideally looking to keep this under $100 with BF sales in mind. (Focused on L or XL sizes in clearance options. There are some XXL clearance options but I think those would be way too big).

I see outdoor research has some "spice" jacket options for consideration on clearance in places.

In the past I know patagonia, mountain hardware, etc. have had bright orange options but I'm not readily seeing anything at the moment.

Rab, big agnus, etc. have options but they're outside the price point as far as I've seen.

This lands end 800 fill down jacket onsale for $100 seems like a viable consideration. https://www.landsend.com/products/mens-hooded-wanderweight-packable-down-jacket/id_386750

Any other options crossed anyones radar?

I worry that one is more pumpkin vs bright orange. I have an eddie baurer jacket like that currently but wanted to go closer to "compliance".
I was looking at that one earlier. Some of the reviews about the stitching coming apart quickly kinda tempered my interest compared to a little more money for the lands end example.

I have one from Duluth Trading Co. It’s from their “Alaska” line or something like that. Not flo orange but not burnt either. It’s been a few years since I picked it up, but might be worth a look.

What do you think about an orange shell to wear over a puffy jacket? That way you can use an existing puffer and not have it be orange if you don’t want it to be orange
I have an orange rain shell but don't normally pack it, I just want something simple when chilled while glassing to toss on without shuffling my blaze vest off/on. I have non-orange puffy options already and also when its really cold I usually have 2 puffys vs 1 to layer as needed. I have a camo puffy with synthetic insulation for when I'm more active and need warmth still.

I'll check it out, thanks.

Feathered friends makes an orange puffy. It’s not something I’d want to wear busting through brush, it’s not super fragile but less durable than first lite chamberlain

Looks like the new ones are more red orange but I see some used ones. Do you know what it weighs? How well does it pack down being synthetic?

Eddie Bauer carries blaze orange puffies from time to time. Sale prices are usually pretty good. Might be worth checking.
