There is a service called Guntab which I have used a couple of times with good success. They act as an escrow company which charges both buyer and seller a reasonable fee and allows buyer to pay with CC for an additional fee. Once they have the funds in hand they instruct the seller to ship and provide tracking. Once buyer receives the item they have 3 days to confirm they received item or file a complaint. Seller is paid following the 3 days or after the buyer responds positive befopre the 3 days is up. A good way to conduct business for higher value items

If you are buying/selling a gun, would the FFL use gun tab? I’ve never purchased a gun through these forums and genuinely interested in not getting scammed.

No, the FFL wouldn't deal with the actual sale, just the transfer and whatever fee they may charge for the transfer.
