Optimized 7mm Hunting Bullet

Do you have any pictures or results to share on game? From what I've been able to find they seem to hold together pretty well on those close shots which is always a factor for me.
I've shot antelope, bear, deer, and elk with 175 ABLR's. Terminally they have a long neck length before they start to expand because they are a bonded bullet.

They perform the best on elk when they have more tissue to go through to adequately deform the bullet and produce large exit once once expanded. Conversely on smaller, narrower game like antelope they act more like a mono and pencil through.

Interesting, I’ve seen the exact opposite. I always see more damage closer to entry than exit with ABLR’s. What you’re describing is my experience with Bergers.🤷‍♂️

I’m looking at starting to reload for my 7prc. I’ve been shooting 175eld-x factory ammo. I’d like to try something different. Leaning towards the new 185tmk or 180 hybrids. Anyone have any suggestions?

After doing a lot of reading and seeing lots of pictures on terminal performance, the 180 hybrid target looks like a bullet I would absolutely try. The new TMK may offer more reliable expansion. If you check your tips on the bergers looks like a good way to eliminate your chances on a pencil through; which I may add is a possiblity on a lot of bullets.

If you end up trying the 185 TMK please update us on success if you find it.

I'll be using a 170 terminal ascent this year and will try to update with that bullets performance. I need to make more fired cases for my 7mm backcountry.
