Edit: sounds like it's legit so I'll remove my speculation from the record. Good deal though, hope you get it quick!

Some quick searching shows them to be legit. But there may be some warranty caveats buying from them with regards to import/export legalities and such.

I’ve bought from them. Once I was able to get my payment to go through (those issues are on my card not them) it was smooth and easy. Shipping was faster than many places I’ve bought things from in the US. Communication was good and everything arrived as expected.

Ships in 1 month or more? Never bought a S&B but that seems excessive.
You can’t find the model in US you need to buy it capped for 1400 then send in for turret for another $300. Don’t mind the wait.

"Ships in 1 month or more" -> I've chatted with them before, using their chat feature. My understanding - using the chat feature - is that wording is used to indicate a particular item is on backorder from the manufacturer. (Meaning, for the one item I inquired about, they did not know when it would be back in stock. I waited until it said "in stock" before ordering).

Well if that’s exactly what you want and you are willing to wait. Why not? I figured they had to wait for the snow/ice to melt to get the sand for the glass and they could mine the ore for the tube. Then it has to go across the ocean and through customs. I suppose a month or more wait time isn’t bad for all that to take place.

Warranties would be worthless here in the States. You need to read the warranty stipulations on most of the high end optics. If it's an optic from an overseas market they aren't covered under US warranties most of the time. Is that worth it to you?

Fair point, but I've been using scopes for 35 years....Tasco, Simmons, Redfield, Bushnell, Vortex, Burris, Crimson Trace, Leupold, Trijicon, Nightforce, Meopta, Zeiss, Swarovski.....never had to send a single one back for warranty.

I've ordered from them multiple times, all S&B scopes on the orders. In many cases the "wait" is because they are waiting for S&B to supply them with the scope. They have been very close on the time estimates and each of the transactions have been hassle free for me. It's been a couple of years since I've ordered from them so import/export laws may have changed in some ways. At any rate, I've had nothing but positive experiences with them.

In recent times I haven’t seen a big difference in shipping overseas and here. With the strength of the dollar I have made most major purchases from Europe and shipping is super quick. Non problem sending it there service if needed. It is worth the 30-50% discount in price.

For you guys that have ordered from them, did you have to pay any fees after the fact? I notice some of there shipping options say something like “customs fee included”. I’ve never ordered anything from overseas so just curious if there’s any included fees.

It is likely to owe customs on the price level. The delivery service will typically take payment.

Optics Trade is completely legit. After a few emails with them, I just ordered a kahles Helia S 8x42 bino on 03/10/23 and it was delivered on 03/16/23. I went with the $134 UPS Exp with custom fees which is a great deal. For example, if I purchased this set locally at their sale price ($1,299), total with taxes would have been $1,429. So essentially the shipping was free. Great dealing with them.

On the Kahles Helia S, these are the same as the Swarovski SLC. A friend of mine has a SLC 8x42 and we compared them for a long time at dusk yesterday. We could not find any difference other than the armor.

I just received a S & B 2.5 - 10 x 56 Klassik from them. Transaction was seamless. Ordered on 3/07 and received on 3/14. Scope was discounted from 1877.00 to 1119.00. Paid 121.00 for Fedex shipping and custom fees. Will order from them again.
