I found German precision optics at the Western Hunt Expo this year for the price, Their glass and overall quality looked really nice. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on GPO? Specifically spotting scopes but anything helps I can’t find much information.

I momentarily had the 8x40 Rangeguide RF Binos. They lacked edge clarity as you would expect on any "budget" tier glass, but the rest of the glass was way better than it should be. I could distinguish between left and right headlights on a vehicle from about 5 miles away. More than enough clarity for majority of people, and with the RF on tap, it was a great combo.

If I wasn't the experimental type with a lust for a good deal, I would have kept them. I was seriously looking at the Centuri 2.5-15x50 but got a deal on a like new Credo HX. I still may grab one in the future, if another rifle comes into my life.

Their new spotting scope, the Passion APO is pretty good! My dad and I both thought it was very noticeably better that his Vortex Razor. He sold the Razor and had money left over after buying the GPO. I have a Kowa which is obviously better but I cant imagine there is a better value out there for a budget spotting scope. This was the 16-48x65mm. I haven't looked through the bigger one.

I also have the GPO 10x40 rangeguides and my dad has the 12.5x50 Passion HD. Now that meopta can no longer be warrantied in the USA I think GPO is tough to beat for the price.

I have the 8x40 rangeguides. I don't think I can call them alpha, but exponentially better than other glass for the price point, orders of magnitude better if you find them on sale. Very happy., they're a keeper for me.

I have a cooperation with GPO and use their Spectra 8x 2-16x50, Rangeguide 3200 8x40 and their red dot.

Used the Spectra 8x for few months and returned for warranty as it developed a slight squeaking sound when turning magnification ring (from 2-4x when slowly turning), apparently die to a faulty O-ring. Many people probably wouldn't even notice it but I'm a bit OCDish. Replacement one should arrive today.

Compared to Element Helix 2-16x50 that I also have, glass is comparable. GPO has better eye box and wider FOV. Can't say much about turrets & tracking as both have capped turrets and I didn't dial much. New GPO should arrive with their ballistic turret.

Also, when comparing GPO Rangeguide 3200 8x40 to Element Helix 8x40 binos that I also have, Element glass is sharper when looking at details like branches at distance. Obviously GPO has a rangefinder and Element does not.

Both are shaped so I have them almost closed at the hinge to get in line with my eyes and I'm getting a triangular(ish) shape that's not so easy to put back in their harness. Minor gripe on my end but not something that's happening on Swaro EL 8x42 binos.
