Curious to see if the hive mind agrees with me here
Im snagging one of the Kimber Adirondacks we got in as a special buy, im thinking ill drop a accupoint 3-9 w/ the red post on it.
Talley one piece rings for the mounts, I dunno of anything else that will be a one piece solution and id prefer to not stack the tolerance with a pic rail.

Most of my hunting is a lot of close in still hunting / deer drives, shots over 100 are extremely uncommon with most shots being 50-75yds
Accupoint is lightweight, flexible, and I'm thinking inside of 25yds i can put the entire illuminated portion of the reticle over a deers chest and fold it up...

Anybody got anything against my thought process?

So the real question is, are you going to run a can on it? I will definitely be keeping mine lightweight. Ill probably run a vortex razor LH 1.5-8x32.

Nah no can, I have a quiver full of short suppressed rifles in all the hot calibers
This is gonna be a dedicated NY rifle
I hate taking cans off to hunt NY.. PA problems lol
This is gonna be a no brake no can situation, all offhand shots

Might be tough to beat. The only question that comes to mind is how dark you can expect the more extreme end of your shooting conditions to be, and whether Accupoint is be as bright as you need (which it probably will).

When I actually stand hunt up there I use my 300 PRC w/ a Swaro Z6i on it.. lot of stories of locals stealing deer that run off after being shot so I make sure I anchor them 🤣 Glass is bright on the z6, this rifles just gonna be for driving.. were usually at the watering hole before dark up there anyways haha!
