Opinions Swarovski Z3 3-9x36 vs Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40

I currently have a Z5 3-18x44 and have recently owned a Conquest 4.5-14x44 but not a Z3 or the lower magnification Conquest. Does anyone have experience with both, for what it is worth it will be mounted on an Encore 45/70 SML conversion?

I own several of both, nice scope for set and forget. To my eye the swaro has the optical edge as well as you can get it with my favorite reticle, 4a.
One thing to keep in mind, if the conquest goes south on you I believe Zeiss no longer services them.

I have a Z3 3-9x36 on my model 7 and love the glass. I just sold a V4 3-12 to upgrade my 270 to a Z3. I think since weight isn’t as important on that rifle I’ll step up to the 3-10x42 and try the 4 A this time.

I’d considered saving up for the Z5 but since this isn’t anything I’ll be dialing I’m not sure it’d be worth it.

Thanks for the replies, sounds like the Z3 gets the nod. Now just to find one and I like the 4a reticle too. Love my Z5 so hope I like the Z3 too.
