Just curious what everyone's opinions are on this new bow? I know it is a brand new bow that is claiming 360 fps. My local shop sent two of their guys to the show and they pulled this bow back and said they were very suprised at how smooth and comfortable the bow was to shoot. They said they pulled the new PSE bow claiming 370 fps and said it was a nightmare to shoot. I know there are speed bow fans out there and I know there are others that are not. Was just trying to see what your thoughts might be or if any of you were able to handle and shoot this bow at the show. Further info on the bow: 4.4 lbs, effective let-off: 80%, DL: 24-30:, KE: 100.7 ft lbs, ATA: 31", IBO: 360 fps, Brace: 6".

Cant really comment on the RPM But if its anything like the Bowtech Carbon knight its going to be a great addition to the Bowtech lineup. I love my CK Easy to tune and for the lightest bow on the market today it is surpisingly stable to shoot. I havent shot out to 60 yards yet but at 20 and 30 its been pretty nice. Cant wait to get out in the field with it.

Havent seen it yet. I'm a fan of bowtech, binary cams and split buss cables. My CPXL has a pretty good hummm to it when it fires. The 360 must have some serious energy in it to get 360fps. Would like to shoot it when it comes into the local shop.

Didn't see it at Gannett Ridge this afternoon, but since I just bought a bow over the weekend I don't want to shoot it ;). I did shoot the Carbon Overdrive - had a real nasty hump at the end of the draw I just couldn't like. The Carbon Knight was much smoother to me. I really like the draw cycle on the PSE DNA SP that I bought, but it's not going to have the speed that the RPM has. I can live with that, and the half pound savings.

I didn't notice a whole lot of difference between the two bows on the draw. What I did notice after the shot was that the PSE Full Throttle was quieter and had less vibration then the Bowtech RPM 360. After 75 arrows through the Full Throttle I was very happy! Mine is on order!

I am guessing they were Bowtech fanboys? But what do I know? I am a PSE fanboy. ;)

In the end we as archers need to buy what bow feels best for us an an individual.

I am currently in the market and the 360 is near the top of my list. I'm just not sure I want to spend that much more.

That is funny Jared. Nah they are not Bowtech groupies but everything is so individualized with people and their bows which is they way it should be. I'm waiting for the bow to get into the shop so I can shoot it and see what I think. My shop will do a trade in on my other bow so I won't be spending the full 1K if I decide to buy it.

Smooth and comfortable are relative terms when it comes to speed bows and draw cycles. The speed has to come from somewhere and if it were possible with easy drawing bows everyone would be making them and everyone would be shooting them.

"Speed bows" are not what they use to be that is for sure. Many don't shoot these type of bows because they can't get past the hype that once was.

I've shot plenty in the past and the present. They still haven't figured out how to defy physics. PSE wouldn't make the Evo if they could get that draw cycle on the Throttle. Bowtech wouldn't make the 360 if the Experience could get those speeds with its draw cycle.

Even the DNA which wasn't even a true speed bow got reworked to tame the draw cycle. Look at the last issue of Bow hunting World. Two bow reviews DNA SP and one of the new Elites. They have the draw force curves mapped, completely different between them. Speed bones still feel like speed bows. Always will until they slow them down.

This is not an arguement topic. I am not argueing what you are trying to point out bud.

Simply stating the "speed bows" are not what they use to be. Because I shoot one better than any other bow I have tried doesn't mean it is for everyone. And your opinion on bows doesnt mean that type of bow would be better for everyone either. But I think if more people would try the faster bows than just read specs or listen to hearsay would be pleasantly surprised at how they actually shoot.

I have seen this numerous times working in an archery shop. Customer comes in and wants to shoot bows. They usually don't show interest in a "speed bow" because of the negative hype they get. We'll usually have them shoot one anyway and most times they are pleasantly surprised. Comments like, "I have never been interested in this bow because of what I read or heard about it." That's much like never trying the prime rib because another guy didn't like it.

It's quite simple really. Shoot as many bows as you can and choose what compliments you and not because of what you read or heard someone say.

Just food for thought. That is all. Carry on!
