onxmaps app

I think it's really pretty accurate from a location standpoint, but that's more of a reflection of your phone GPS than the app. I have had a few issues with the app freezing, but my biggest issue is that the land ownership data is only as good as when it was last updated. My house is still listed under the previous owner. We bought it almost 4 years ago... It may not be as much of an issue in western states with lots of public land, but in NE where I use it for identifying the landowner to get permission, that's a disappointment to not be more up to date than that.

Just wondering if you were using downloaded maps you had created or running it off of your data? Because that is the first I've heard of something like this happening and I'm not willing to buy a new phone over the convinance this provides of cutting my GPs out of my pack I'll just pack a phone and a GPS

On my phone it would freeze the app. On my friends droids they were downloading maps to cache.

Mine has expired. When I originally got it, it worked great. Towards the end of my year, it was PITA to get it to load maps. But I had the same issue with back country navigator so I don't know that it wasn't the phone. Unless I did it over wifi.

Thanks for the info I appreciate it ... Now I have to decide what to do because I am using a droid Maxx 2 so I could have the same issues your friends were.

On my older Iphone 4S I was starting to have issues with the app. Failing to download maps, freezing, crashing etc... But that was probably due to the phone being shit. New Google Pixel and the app runs like a dream. I was using it on the river fishing last week and the location / boundary accuracy was spot on.
