OnX maps

Anybody ever used these in their gps? How detailed was it? Any feedback on this system would be appreciated.

I've used it in a couple different states. I also use it close to home for hunting public land that has private property bordering it. I love it, seems to work very well and be very accurate where I have used it.

It's a must have. I used the chips in my GPS as well as the phone and iPad apps. I wouldn't hunt without it.

One of the best things I've ever bought for hunting. Their latest update to the app is phenomenal. I'm thinking inmate of even need a GPS anymore. I'll probably carry it with me to Colorado as a backup but will use my phone as my go-to.

I have looked over their website and can't seem to find the answer...

Is it possible to have the desktop/PC interface dictate which layers and "tiles" can be cached on your cellphone? The reason I ask...the interface on the old app kinda sucked. Maybe it's better on the new one. But scrolling around on your phone and selecting multiple tiles and layers was annoying and time consuming. It would be better if you could do this on your PC and then have that data synced with your phone.

I tried the app for the free one week trial and found it to be too busy for the mountain hunting I do where all I really need is topo and occasional satellite, I like my Backcountry Navigator much better and it's a cheaper one time purchase cost. However if I was looking for some private land to hunt whitetail on, it would be pretty advantageous I think!
