OnX: how do you organize and keep track of everything? Hunting and non hunting related

In addition to hunting, I use onX for a ton of other things such as:

-Keeping track of edible berries/mushroom spots

-Marking good fishing locations

-Marking where I've seen cool animals such as badger tracks or a fox. I don't plan on hunting those animals but I like seeing them and mapping where I encounter them

-acorn producing oak trees
Etc, etc.

You get the idea. Anyway, wondering if people have some neat ways of filing and organizing all of this stuff within onX. I really wish there were a ton of other "icons" I could use to keep track of everything. Maybe some type of system using folders and colored icons? How do you keep track of things found during different years?

How do you keep track of animal tracks you've found? Sometimes i find elk tracks and want to mark thehlm....but if I use an elk icon i confuse it with actual elk I've spotted. If I use the "tracks" icon it gets confused with the tracks of deer and black bear I've found. Just looking for some ideas on keeping track of everything

Haven't been on my onx app in a while , went to use it last week and all my waypoints are bunched up in 1 large file . I guess an update is responsible for it. Not real happy

I make Folders for everything that way I can hide a Folder if I don’t want to see the information on the map at that time.

There's literally like a hundred icons and 10 colors to mix and match. For example, I have trout fishing spots all over the place in my area. I use a red fish for places I've not yet been, a blue fish for good spots, and a black fish for places that I struck out. You could do the same with the "tracks" or "food source" icons. I also started renaming the spots and adding notes.

Now, if there's a way to adjust the "opaqueness" of the state and government land layers - I'm all ears.

Really, I love that update. Having everything bunched together until I zoom in makes it way easier to manage. With over 700 waypoints and trails across 9 states, the old setup was just getting to be too much clutter for me.

Yeah, I agree with this. It was just a ton of clutter on the map without the update. Also, like to color code everything. Antlers get white, animals get pink, poop gets brown, kills get red, tracks green, etc etc. I see way too many guys just using the standard red for everything. It really bothers me. Can't imagine how they keep things straight.

agree with the color coding, which is what I used to do, but between my brothers and close friends i hunt with always sharing pins that aren't color coded and now I have co-workers send me pins for work related things mine is too far gone to save now.
