Anybody having the issue of OnX crashing mid hunt and unable to open and use it after wards ? I had it happen twice this past weekend. I am running iOS 17.7 which is another issue in and of itself (can’t update to 18.whatever even with 20 free gigs of storage?) first time it crashed I got to enough service to delete and re-install the app which fixed it temporarily until the next day and it crashed again and was non functioning.

Just curious if this is a common issue and if there are fixes for it, as I can see it getting me into a hairy situation navigating in the dark.

Thanks

Tanner

What iphone model? Running only IOS17 and unable to update makes me think your phone is obsolete and incompatible with the latest version

I would contact onx. They are very helpful from my experience…

I have not had that issue but have some issues in the past and I think it mostly stems from having poor service in the mountains and going in and out of service

This was all out of service and using downloaded offline maps. But I will call them for sure

It’s a 13 pro max so I can’t imagine it’s that far obsolete but maybe so.

May need to try updating via computer because not being able to update software with 20gb of free service seems silly

Just had this happen this past Friday and Saturday in an area with no service. Restart off my phone fixed it both times.

Mine was doing that yesterday afternoon while hunting. Did it for 20/30 minutes. I restarted the phone and checked for updates. Neither helped. I deleted the app, redownloaded it and signed in. Worked perfectly

I had this happen last year in Wyoming about 4 miles from camp, I have a Android phone. Looged out, in, restarted phone did not work. I then went and clicked the "offline maps" button off and on (I was offline) then It started working fine. Havent had the problem since but It reminded me to not trust just one piece of equipment.

That’s the only thing that solved it for me too. Restarting the phone didn’t work for me either. Unfortunately going back to an area with service to redownload could be problematic if you’re already lost 😂
