I could not find a way to use the promo code to renew so I canceled my membership and then purchased a membership using the promo code. All of my saved maps and waypoints are still showing up. Appears to have worked.

Sent an email and onX replied that they turned off my auto renewel and to use promo code after my current deal expires, which is today. Will be doing it tom.
