Satellite map wont clear up enough to see a thing when trying to zoom in on Alaska. Can see everything in the lower 48. Any ideas or anyone else have this issue?

Most satellites don't orbit in a high enough inclination to image at high latitudes So, sourcing imagery up there is kinda tough.

I used Basemap when I was in AK. Really clear and easy app to use.

Mine looks how it’s always looked. I can see tree’s and cars and such, but it’s not as clear as other areas.

Google earth imagery looks the same.

Yup. OnX is pretty worthless up here in my opinion. Went to BaseMap which I like but they do business with retards so I dumped them. Trying Gaia right now. Little bit of a learning curve but so far so good

That’s just how it looks. Alaska is a very blurry place.

I noticed this the other day as well, I’ve viewed the area I was trying to look at in the past and it was much clearer and detailed that what I can see now

Plenty clear for me. Ak residents paid onx to make it blurry for you lower 48ers

I looked all over and I don’t find an area of Alaska that doesn’t zoom in down to 500 ft level or so.

I’m guessing your internet connection isn’t so good.

Of course, I don’t know the area your concerned with, so maybe that specific spot is blurry.

I wonder if I need an update or something. I can't find one spot that will get clear in Alaska. Even tried when I went to town and had full bars with 4G

This doesn’t help you, but all of AK is total blur for me too. Also Hawaii. Continental US is fine

Interesting. This is a location on the big island. I can see the lines in the parking lot.
And another about as far north in Alaska as you could get.

If your not seeing similar then I’d guess there is some issue.
