OMP fletching jig

Hey there folks, just wondering if the greater minds of rokslide may have any idea what going on over at OMP? I ordered their new fletching jig from a retailer about a month ago and there has been no updated ship date. Also if anyone has used one compared to a bitz first hand your comparison would be appreciated! Thanks.

OMP was over a year late on the release. Lancaster is back ordered for what seems like forever. OMP hasn’t really addressed it. I sent an email about availability and got a short snippy answer. I hope you get it soon but it may be a while.

Did you ask Lancaster or OMP directly? I hope I get it soon too. Lancaster looks likes it’s supposed to be in stock tomorrow but it sounds like I shouldn’t hold my breath.

I asked both. It was a while back. Lancaster plainly said they fill back orders first. OMP just kind of dismissed it.

Well folks, I just got some news in from OMP, they have a shipment come in that will be filling the back orders currently in the system. They have a second order coming in that should be available early December. Allegedly. Happy hunting!

I just saw one in stock on bowhunters superstore this morning and bought it. Right helical version for $95.99. Hopefully it is truly in stock, but when I added to cart it said it was the last one in stock.

I will genuinely feel bad if that is the case. This will be my first jig and first go at building my own arrows. Still have a few things to get together, but looking forward to it.

Nah I’m kidding I have an old bitz that works just fine, it’s just a pain to set up when switching diameters. And helical but it works great.

I have an EZ fletch, I’ve been so far unimpressed.

Interesting. So many people rave about them. I guess it's a preference thing more than anything.

It may just be me, (high degree of possibility) but I found it finicky if you didn’t set the arms slow enough. It’s not nearly as customizable for set back on vanes. It is easy, but it’s not for someone that’s serious about building higher quality arrows
