One thing I hate about this jig, as well as the Bitz is that the arrow can move off the nock receiver when applying pressure with the clamp.

Probably not the first to do this but thought I’d share a mod I made to stop movement and keep the arrow securely seated in the receiver.

Grabbed some bungee cord and cord locks off Amazon. Stole a cap from a bottle of Goof Off in the garage and did this.

Works amazing. Best part is it’s adjustable by pushing the button on the lock and pulling on the cord. Keeps the arrow tight and the cap spins with the arrow when turning to the next spotimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I wish there was a nock receiver, like the zenith upgrade for the bitz, that could be added to the OMP phoenix. I find it annoying that I have to put backwards pressure for every friggin vane. I know these are first world problems.

I like your solution and may try something similar.

This was definitely an oversight on the OMP. Probably good though, as it would have been a decade for them to source this and waiting for them to actually make them was pain enough.

I stole the idea from the Vane Master Pro. That's a heck of a jig, but it just never worked the way I needed it to.

I've seen guys using the cap off of a sharpie over the end of the arrow also.
I saw that. I just couldn't figure out a way to make the bungee stay that wouldn't get pulled through the clip and putting it up through it like on this one, it would take up too much of the space available. But definitely an option. I actually spent way too much time pilfering parts off things in the desk, under the sink, rummaging through drawers and closets before I realized how complicated I was trying to make it.

Oh well, it got me through several hours of stupid winter downtime.
