Ollin and iPhones.

I Have an iPhone 14 and use an Ollin digiscope adapter. Like others have stated, when zooming in it goes black unless you use a special app. If i hold finger to adjust zoom I can get it to zoom to 1-10. But it has trouble focusing. Even when using the camera without it attached to glass it struggles focusing with the Ollin case on the phone.
My question is; do they all do that?? (mag view, Kapture, etc) Is it an iPhone thing? Looking to set up wife with one and not sure I wanna do Ollin again because of this issue… Just wanted to get others opinions., Thanks

My understanding is the iphones use different lenses for 1-3x zoom and the. Higher mag isa. Different lens. As such, the ollin (and presumably other set ups) index to one lens but not all, so you are “stuck” with the lower amount of zoom. My suggestion if you want higher mag, take the picture and then crop.
