Back around the turn of the 20th century, I had an Uncle Shorty who worked for the railroad in Kentucky. I'm told he retired in the early 20's and was given this gold pocket watch as a retirement gift. He died shortly thereafter and rarely carried the watch. The watch came to my grandmother, who gave it to my dad. When he passed a few years ago, I found the watch wrapped up in a sock in his drawer. I'm pretty certain he never used it. I have had it in my sock drawer for a while, and would like to find it a new home with someone who would carry and use it.

The watch is in excellent shape as can be determined in he photos. It is standard two inches across. It keeps good time. Seems to gain/lose abou1 (2).jpgt one minute every 3-4 days. Relatively easy to adjust if desired, but I dont have the right tools. The case is 10K gold filled. Comes with a nice chain and small knife fob.

Ive seen a wide range of pricing for these old watches. Id like to get $700 for this one. Glad to send additional info or photos to seriously interested parties0.jpg
