When do you plan on being in the Creste Butte/Almont area. I may be up there scouting. Been finding a few good bucks in the hard to reach areas. Really not much in Creste Butte. One hotel that I can remember, but there is a lot of rooms at the ski resort. In Almont you have Three Rivers Resorts, and the Almont Resort and Cabins. I have meet several hunters over the years that have stayed at these two places and never heard anything bad. Up Taylor River there is a small resort called Harmels. Dont know anything more on them. I do know the hotel in Creste Butte runs around $125.00 a night and is pretty booked during the summer. Gunnison has pretty much everything as far as hotels and food. About thirty minute drive up to Creste Butte. If you need a place to eat in Creste Butte my favorite is a small restraunt that makes pizza in a brick oven, its about half way up main street on the right.
