If a guy is calling coyotes or hunting whitetails inside 100 yards it would be ideal to not have a 1.5" mirror on your muzzle. Maybe it doesn't matter but it is enough that I wouldn't choose that finish again. Others future customers likely feel the same.

Like the mirror that is your scope lens? Grin

Spray paint, heat, or just shooting gets rid of it relatively quickly. Just seems like a much ado about something quick to fix.

If it is such a concern, then I agree that people should order the bead blasted finish.

But, even without that, if the deer or coyote is within 100 yards from me, the only flash it will ever see is when it “steps into the light.” No deer has ever run away from me because of the shiny high gloss finish on my scope, barrel, or the glass in my scope. Do you put a kill flash on your hunting scope?

On the topic of suppressor finishes, I very much like the bead blasted finish on my OG65.

For comparison sake here’s three suppressors. Steel with cerakote. Welded titanium with cerakote. And the bead blasted printed titanium.

Far and away the bead blasted finish has held up the best.

Each have a season of hunting, and near weekly prs barricade drills. The OG65 arrived in November, and was immediately thrown into the rotation. I’m really very happy with how it’s holding up/performing.

OG Six Five made parole today.

18" barrel on top, 22" on bottom.

I had been shooting each rifle with a Harvester Evo and the improvement in balance is noticeable, particularly in the 22" configuration.

The 18" basically feels perfect, as expected, but i don't think I'll chop a 22 anymore unless I really need a short boi.

Planning on shooting later this week

Early review of the OG 6.5 (received mid November). It has lived on a 20” 6.5 PRC. Over 100 rounds through it thus far, 3 white tails and 2 elk taken with it. I don’t have anything truly scientific but some anecdotal input:
-It is pretty quiet and recoil reduction is satisfactory on a 6,5 PRC. On any cartridge smaller I’m sure it is really nice. (This has me encouraged for the OG magnum down the road).
-the 4” on front of the barrel is fantastic for carrying. This rifle system is 10.5 pounds, but due to the balance I’ve had friends comment they think it is “light”
- those around when I’ve shot have been impressed with the sound
-my brother and I were hunting .8 miles from each other directly n/s with a w/nw wind. I heard him shoot twice with a scythe on a 19” 6.5 Swede and he never heard my 2 shots over the weekend Very small data point with many variables but I found it interesting

I have a scythe, banish backcountry, TBAC ultra 7 I wish I could swap for this can instead.

That’s frustrating, sort of makes me not want mine anymore. I wish I’d just got a black one rather than going for something different. I don’t want a reflective silencer that I have to paint…

Not an issue, just shoot it. It still might be a little flashy but its gonna keep changing.
