Needless to say it got COLD up there this weekend! We weren't as high as I though but we were still down around the 0* -> -5*F range. Used a silnylon ground cloth, CCF pad, BA Q-core SL, Marmot Sawtooth 20* bag with my 20* Rev X quilt inside and I stayed warm. Will try to get a few pics up... I will say though after this trip and my recent desert trip I've gotten my fill of cold weather camping for the year! Not so much the fact that I dislike the cold or had trouble staying warm, but when you're down below 10* constantly, your water freezes, your filter freezes, your stoves don't cook as well...etc
And it's bad that I'm already dreaming of July/August scouting trips next year.... I didn't kill my big muley this year but next year I'll likely be hunting WA, ID, and CO on 3 deer tags so I'm hoping to be able to find some decent bucks!
