Official WA Rokslider thread...

Have you seen littlebuf? He normally just uses a scalpel to kill most animals.

If he can't get close enough to use his scalpel, he just scares them to death.

Oh I've heard the stories... lol

Trevor, good thing is you'll likely not go with one of the big calibers so we can run a 24" barrel with no brake on it! :) definitely cutting the weight down.

Pretty sure I'm going to build myself a 7 WSM with a 24" barrel on one of these builds for next year!

Ok Washington guys primarily wetstern Washington guys... My uncle has a t3 270wsm brand spanken new it's the camo stainless model no shots out of it and no scope ever mounted...that brand new! He's looking to sell it the local easy way and not deal with shipping to a dealer and what not in different states. I figured I would let you guys around my area know, told Brock a to send a text to a few of ya that he had #s for to see if there's anyone interested. $700 Obo brand new t3 270wsm stainless camo.

Hit me up if interested 253-569-2059 with your Rokslide name so I know who it is.

Thanks Hells and Liljoz... Sorry for the late reply, been working remotely in the field for the last 4 months and just got back home, for good! I usually archery hunt but due to work this year I am Modern for both Deer and Elk.

Will be hunting in the Clallam County area for both. Filled both tags last year, and hoping to repeat the success. What do you guys hunt?

How do I upload photos to my profile. I would like a profile pic and I created two albums I would like to add photos to..

Any snow reports from you guys in WA? I noticed a dusting in the NCNP and the ALW but it doesn't look like anything that will stick. Appears to be snow in the forecast though. Checking the long-term forecast for high-altitudes, it looks like there it will be borderline freezing temps at night.

I'm planning on heading to the High Country for regular season and hoping the serious snow holds off until afterwards.

You're not the only one... :) I might have to bust out the full sleeping bag instead of quilt! BTW I have an annex with stove jack on the way to me for my LBO shelter... only missing a stove!

If this holds...it could be unreal.

Where I'm planning on going, they are predicting 2" of rain/snow. I'm hoping the rain cuts the snow down to nothing. Otherwise there will be a foot of snow by the end of the weekend. The extended forecast looks a bit better.

Unless there is a warming trend week of the 7th, getting above 6k may take snowshoes. As long as the cloud deck isn't sitting on the floor...this has the potential to be a blast. Sure beats 70 and sunny :)

Question , wouldn't a foot of snow push the animals down and concentrate them ? Making them easier to hunt. I don't have any real experience but I have heard that a good snow makes for good elk and mulie hunting.
