Official Rokslide Group Buy - Unknown Suppressors OG-6S (CLOSED)

My .223 RSS is threaded 1/2-28. It'd be cool to see a special run of OG22 with the smaller threads so I don't have to mess with an adapter.

Are most of y'alls .223s threaded 5/8? Or is that more 22-250, 22 CM, etc?

Everything I can get it that way is 5/8x24. A couple had to be 1/2x28 because the gunsmith didn’t know better. Those rifles have an adapter roksetted onto the barrel.

Only .22 LR should be threaded 1/2x20, imo.

Most barrels are still 5/8 we sell cans for… You can bush down to 1/2 but can’t use a bell reducer and go up to 5/8 from 1/2. (Installing pipe for 15 years is coming out hard here lol)

Many factory 22 caliber and some 6mm caliber barrels come threaded 1/2-28. Most of the Howa rifles with sporter contour threaded barrels come threaded 1/2-28 up to 308 caliber. Unfortunately, unless you use the Unknown Suppressor adapter, you can not use an OTB type suppressor with them. My OG-6S will see the majority of its use on 1/2-28 barrels.

My understanding is that it is a .224 bore through and through. You would have to ask them directly though.
Interesting…… if so I stand corrected.

I will contact them directly.

I’d still like to see more optimized options become available if they are capable of delivering
Performance gains.

Updated Correction.

Response from AB:
“suppressors have caliber specific baffles and end caps.”

Apparently AB believes the .224 caliber specific design has merit. 🤷‍♂️

Absolutely. Maybe if enough of the OG22 people requested 1/2x28, that could be part of the run. Theres obviously tooling setup so it would have to make sense. But I’d have to speak to Cliff about it and don’t want to just assume.

My can was delivered to my SOT the other day. I haven’t heard from him though, so might not be certifying for a little while. I have a conference for work at the end of the week - hoping to certify before leaving for 4 days.

Picking up the 6 arc tikka today... can't wait to marry these up. My form 4 is taking longer than any i've had in the past year so far.

I have to leave on monday unfortunately so maybe next weekend.

Mine is going on a Tikka 6 ARC as well. My Rokstok finally showed up after 225 days, so almost there!

Yep, yours was the inspiration for mine. Gonna stick with oem stock with vert grip mod for now.

Thinking of folding chassis from Backfire when those release. Hnt26 vibes with a folder for alot cheaper but we'll see if they're worth it.

Wouldn’t it be just as effective to include a 1/2-28 to 5/8-24 adaptor with each og22? Then each owner can use or not, rokset or not, based on their own barrel setup.

If there’s gains, we will offer more optimal versions as we are able to up capacity.
I have no doubt about that. My use desire is if US is going to offer an Optimized .224 suppressor that it would work on my specific needs.
And that is the ability to fit a .890 muzzle dia.
Recent cans coming out are often times not capable of that therefore they are of no consideration for me & others with fat Barrel’s.
For instance the OG-6S
Other wise my option is currently a Reaper with Reflex, which is Great!!
Don’t know if it gets much better.
But it is not a .224 can, & if there is a Better US can coming soon I’d like to consider that as well.
Be it a 22OGL, Or 22 Reaper.
I’m offering input only for US to consider as they are apparently in possible early development stages.
