Hey All! New member and first time poster.
Currently living in Tennessee, previously lived in AK, WA, and OR.
Got lucky this year and drew a Bull Elk Permit for Western MT, up in the Eureka Area.
I've heard it's some tough country and even tougher hunting, but I'm going to give it a go! My BIL is a big hunter in Montana, but he's a little farther south and east. Not sure why I picked the North West HD for a permit, but I'm not going to not go try and get lucky.
If anyone has any lessons learned that are worth sharing for that area, I'd love to hear them!
