Oaklohoma deer hunting

After bow hunting Nebraska the last 21 yrs I’m thinking of driving out to oaklohoma in the next couple weeks to scout some new areas. Looking at the north central part of the state. Any advice?

Oaklohoma? That's a new one.

Plan on either leasing or paying. The public land that is worth hunting is pretty much all draw hunts. Most of the private land is leased and the days of knocking on doors is pretty much over. Most of the farmers have figured out that they can get more for a hunting lease than they can for a land lease. We do have a lot of deer and a good bag limit.

There are quite a few WMAs and Core land to hunt all over the state. Do some scouting and get far away from public access points ! Go where none of the hunters are willing to walk to.
