I posted on another forum, thought I would try here too. I recently switched from using NXS to NX8s. I have read the user manual several times and have always adjusted the reticle as it suggests, parallax on infinity looking into light color background and peek in for no more than a second. I also adjust the parallax as they suggest with the nod of the head method. However, when I am on the bench I find myself needing to still adjust the ocular lens to clear up the target (dot) that I am shooting. What am I missing?

I have a few NX8 and I will say that it depends on the model in my experience, the 4-32 is not as touchy as the 2.5-20. I would set your reticle clarity with blank sky/ wall like normal and then use the parallax to focus when shooting, I find that the "ranges" on the parallax knob arent correct and to just go by what I see.

I adjust the eye piece to clear the reticle, parallax to clear the target as best I can and still have no reticle movement with the head bob. I have a cataract in my eye so my target will never be sharp or "pop".
My NX8 clarity was better than my NXS.

This may or may not be related... I use the 1-8 NX8 on a few rifles. I've noticed that I need to adjust the focus slightly when I zoom over 6x. Basically 1-6x is good, at 7-8x I need to change it a touch. the 1-8x has no parallax adjustment.

I've assumed it is related to the large power range, but it may be specific to my eyes. Either way, it's consistent for me across 3 of the 1-8x NX8's.
