NRL Lightweight Chassis Options

Long time reader, first post. I'm looking for advice selecting a stock for NRL Hunter in the lightweight open (12 lbs total) division. MDT Hunt 26, MPA Hunter Comp, and MPA Hybrid all look like reasonable options. Intended use is also non-competitive participation in some PRS matches for practice.
I own the Hunt 26 and doubt it's ability to withstand the inevitable smashing against rocks and barricades.
Has anyone used the MPA Hunter Comp or MPA hybrid? I can't find much on video or posts.
All help much appreciated.

Consider the Bravo or similar?

If you are smashing it on rocks, IMO, you are doing something wrong… I always have it on a bipod/tripod/or bag.

Sure, a little ding here or there, but it’s no more than at a range IMO. Your scope will get almost as many dings as your chassis.

Give it a go with what you have. Put some gaffers tape on the forearm the first time to test if you like.

Why are you smashing a rifle against rocks? I wouldn’t be looking at stuff that’s 3.5# plus.

Thanks for the responses. I think my first few PRS matches made me realize that paint is temporary. Good points about using bags or something between supports and rifle. Anyone used the MPA Hunter Comp or MPA hybrid? There's not much I could see in posts

Alright. Now I’m just confused. I’m also wanting a lite chassis for comps/hunting.

So googled the ones above and didn’t see any tikka inlets…..you sure your on the right forum? ;)

I’m a fan of XLR to be honest. Not a bad deal on sale either and I think lighter still.

Sorry, I got nothing on those chassis, didn’t even see anything really on Snipers Hide with a quick search.

I just got a 26” M24 contour 6.5 barrel for PRS and plan on using the same barreled action/scope(7-35 atacr) for NRL heavy in my XLR magnesium Element 4.0.

Currently the XLR has been on my primary hunting rifle for 2 seasons and I like it a lot. With a lighter barrel and scope you could easily make 12lbs with the XLR. Similar weight to the HNT26 and all metal so feels much sturdier.

Magnesium element 4.0 with carbon stock, adjustable cheek and bag rider and an anarchy outdoor vertical grip. It’s a little over 2lbs

For PRS I’m using a weighted down KRG Bravo with a DIY fore end extension and a longer ARCA rail. In that configuration I’m a little over 20lbs.
