I came across a Smithsonian article a few years ago and have revisited it a few times since then. It's a fascinating story about a Russian family who fled 150 miles into the Serbian wilderness to avoid persecution and lived apart from civilization for the rest of their lives. It's an amazing tale of struggle for survival. Perhaps many of you have already read about it before, but for those who haven't, here's a link to the article about the Lykov family:

One of the coolest articles I've read in some time. "Happy people: a year in the taiga" is one of my favorite documentaries and this is just a more extreme expansion of it. Super hard core.

"Fair Chase" is a documentary on netflix about a group of elite ultra marathoners who try to run an antelope to exhaustion. I enjoyed watching it. Sorry to hijack the thread.
