The thought of dealing with a critter that’s fully coated in mud. I’d have let that thing walk even if it wasn’t stuck. You’d need to take it through a car wash before you could field dress it.

Congrats to those guys for doing the right thing! Definitely wasn’t an easy task, but their effort payed off!

Been there, done that. It’s miserable.

I've seen pictures of elephant and giraffe in the swamps of northern kenya that were stuck in the mud during the rains an were still there when it dried out. Not a good way to go.
