Very helpful. Thanks.Iv used the a419 and APA systems as well. For what your describing the tank is what I would choose.

Bummer. No Tank ST in .338!On the same rifle yes, yes and yes. It’s got a collar that once set makes it the same as a one piece brake. So you just screw it on and off. On top of that it’s got wrench flats and a hex head built into the front of you want to get super picky and record the torque value you apply when installing.
As far as self timers I think your stuck with a big ugly one if you need a .338 holeBummer. No Tank ST in .338!
What's the OD of your barrel? Thanks. I’ll have to check that out.
I also want tool less installation. I’d like the ability to take off and put back on in the field.
Which brings up the next question… Which of these are also known for best return to zero after on and off installation? I don’t want to have to re-sight in.
I don’t yet know the exact outside diameter as my build is still in the works and I don’t have my hands on it yet. Thanks for the contact person. What's the OD of your barrel?
I have 3 of the TiPro brakes and like Broz said, they are awesome. They weight next to nothing, great recoil reduction, and they look great.
I believe if you pm @LivetohuntID ( he makes them) he can answer all your questions about the TiPro brakes.
Thanks, will do.Insite arms heathen would be another to look at, available in 338. Was going to get one for my only braked rifle but ended up with a hellfire match.
That sure doesn't look like a self timed brake. Is it? How?Yeah, it's for a chassis rifle so I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - the MBM brake sure is purdy though...

Ahhh - there's the rub. I've been looking for those two qualities in a brake as well (toolless & rtz). Best I've been able to find (haven't tried yet) is the Area419 Hellfire. Not sure if it qualifies as "not ugly" though... love to hear from anyone who has experience with it.
No no, its not - though the self-timed ones look pretty similar. Out of curiosity, why self timed, just to save the hassle of a gunsmith? That sure doesn't look like a self timed brake. Is it? How?
Partly yes, but also for ease of R&R in the field. No no, its not - though the self-timed ones look pretty similar. Out of curiosity, why self timed, just to save the hassle of a gunsmith?
That brake is sexy. Off topic, I get excited when I see people that live near my family. They are west of you in Mineral Wells, Texas. I've hunting pigs south near Strawn.Have you looked at the APR self timing break? I had one fitted when they built my rifle.
