Not sure if its the quiver or the broadheads but my setup isn't going to work. I am using the Tightspot quiver and planned to fill it with Ramcat tipped arrows. The tightspot doesn't have enough room for these BH's. Once you get a few in the blades start to cross and touch. Then when you pull them out the back facing point can catch the hood insert and pulls the blade forward. Looks like a last minute changes will be required. I even wonder if 5 of these heads will fit into a Mathews quiver.

Might look at the hoyt quiver. Almost a copy of the tightspot in how it mounts, its really light as well.

No idea if the heads will fit, but its worth a look.

Thanks Lawnboi, I will look at that. I'd sure rather change quivers than heads at this point in the game. Luckily I have been shooting my old Muzzy 100 heads during my practice sessions and they group well enough a sight adjustment would be all it takes to hunt with those.

G5 makes a fantastic quiver also. Really happy with it. Whats nice about the G5 is you can reposition how long or short it is and the angle at which it hangs off the bow.

G5 Headlock cost me a very large PY Caribou bull last Fall. The inherent weakness in it is that if the little spring inside the headlock attachment to the quiver breaks then quiver slides right inbetween the string and the cables at full draw. Not probably a good feature if you are focused on your target.

Sincerely,
Thomas

Had the same issue... Cut the black rubber insert about half way down inside the quiver. I then used double stick tape and placed it bsck inside the quiver. That fixed my issue, but I'm only running 4 broadheads and a SGH point. I keep an extra broadhead in my bow repair kit to replace the SGH.

Colton are you using Ramcat BH's?

Still had to overlap the heads. As long as you put your last arrow you will shoot into your quiver, and follow in succession with your remaining arrows you should be good.

Thanks for the info Thomas. I have hundreds of shots through the bow with quiver attached I havent had an issue yet. You seen others complain about this? Doing some research now as thats a bit disturbing. I see the Spring your talking about in there. Im trying to wrap my head around what your saying as far as the quiver sliding between the strings and cables.

I bought an alpine archery 5 arrow quiver a few months back and live the thing. I was always anti quiver, but the thing had made me more accurate and consistent at longer ranges.

Thanks for all the info posted. I did cut the rubber hood insert so that there is more room for the blades. I still wasn't happy because the points on the end of the blade would still dig into the hood even with the slightest contact. What I did to prevent this is to ever so slightly file the point away at an angle that would allow the blade to slide across the hood if it touched. These mods have been working good so its going hunting.
