I got a bunch of my grandfathers reloading supplies. I was starting a project, and noticed the pile sitting there, untouched and decided to look through a bit. I found a box of Nosler bullets that I have never seen or heard of. Decided to look a little closer and I opened it up and found the receipt from when he bought them. 1967, he would have been a year older than I am now, with my dad being 5 years old. Pretty fun to imagine what he was after with the bullets and if my dad and uncles were at the store with him when he picked them up. If we was riding his old Harley around and shopping with my grandma…. It also made me realize California sales tax was 4%.
I would love to see some other reloading stuff. My grandfather was a reloading hoarder way back then. I can’t tell you how many .224 bullets I have, but more than I’ll ever use. I still can’t find his 25-284win dies. That was one of his first custom rifles, and main deer hunting gun as far back as my dad can remember. He had dies for calibers that I can’t find his rifles to match. Pretty fun to see what he was into. A lot of varmint stuff.

Very cool. I still have those same Hornady, Speer and Sierra bullet boxes. That was pretty much the only ones available when I started. I would be very proud to have that stuff.

That is great. As a 13 yo my first experience with reloading was for an M1 carbine circa 1968. If you need a challenge try loading that cartridge.

The reinforced cardboard boxes are pretty neat. Looks like Sierra, Hornady, Norma, and Remington used the same box manufacturer. Most of the boxes are unopened and bullet gr weights are from 42-55. I know he had a custom 222 and my grandma shot a 218bee.

He had about 15 .22lrs and multiple of same rifles for back up it appeared. Some really nice Anschutz-Savage bull barrel 22’s. When we were cleaning his house up, half of one of the old bedrooms was filled waist high with cases of 22lrs. Only 3 of us in the family shoot, so we each took what we wanted and my dad sold the rest to a shop.
