Anybody played with or shoot the Nosler made rifle?
It's got me interested. They make decent ammo so I'm wondering what folks think of their rifles.

Hey Vince- I've hunted with one nearly exclusively since 2006. Mine easily shoots .75MOA with Nosler ammo and Federal "Blue Box".

Mine has been hundreds of miles on foot, ATV, and snow machine. It shows some wear but works everytime I out a critter in the crosshairs.

So it's safe to say you find the accuracy, reliability, and durability sufficient?

I have a TGR in .280AI, shoots great, all the parts are coated, it's a really nice rifle.

It has surpassed all expectations that regard. The coating has came off in a couple of spots- but I did ride it down a scree chute in a nasty fall in 2010. The usual wear on the painted stock from riding in a gun boot a fair bit. Nosler replaced the safety/trigger in 2011, likely a result of the same fall but did it at N/C and had it back to my door in 2 weeks in time for a sheep hunt. I know folks bash CS from a lot of companies but Nosler impressed me with the repair.

The coated stainless and trigger mechanism are the most weatherproof finish I've had... it rains a lot in hunting season and the rifle stays wet for days at times. No rust or corrosion ever, and my seasons run 50-80 days a year.

In fact, I like it so much I'm considering another in .338WM

What makes you want a .338 Win Mag now as the .300 WSM is considered a good all around cartridge?

Couple of things... just want something new and I've been very impressed with my partners .338WM using 180-210gr bullets. Nothing wrong with the .300WSM for anything that walks up here...but nothing wrong with the .338 either.

Thanks hodgeman.
Yeah, I stumbled on to the .338 Win Mag and I'm glad I did. It's a pretty good round.

I went ahead and ordered a Nosler Custom in .338 Win Mag.
I'm really looking forward to it and I'm in hopes it shoots up to my standards. Thank you Hodgeman for your feedback.
