I was able to put my hands on the new Mountain Carbon rifle last week at SHOT and must say I was impressed. I know there are some mixed emotions about Nosler rifles on here, but I personally have only had positive experiences. I still own an older .280AI model 48 that shoots close to 1/2 MOA with their trophy grade factory Accubonds. I can't ask for much more than that especially with my abilities.
From what I saw from the Mountain Carbon, it appears to be a winner. The carbon stock was solid, ergonomic and with nice texture. The Timney trigger felt nice as always. Proof barrel which needs no explanation. Nice Grey Cerekote finish with matching muzzle cap. All weighing in right at 6lbs, and balances superb. It is available in the creedmoors, 300win, and the noslers. With what should be a retail of around $2800-29 it seems to be a pretty good bargain compared to like products on the market.
Although they haven't hit the streets for review yet I do believe I will have to try one out in 6.5creed (for ease to begin with) when available!
