We just picked up Xpedition archery this year and I've been impressed with their bows from day one. Fit and finish is top notch. Great performance and tunability. Very accurate as well. All around a solid bow.

This! We've been carrying Xpedition for almost a year (only dealer in MT) and these things are great! Smooth, quiet, and FAST!

My Top three "non-mainstream" in no particular order..

1. Elite- Smoothest draw in the business, hands down. I'm currently shooting an Energy 32
2. Prime- Crazy stable bow at full draw, smooth and quiet. Free strings every two years.
3. Xpedition- Fast, attractive, and easy to tune. Bar none, quietest speed bow on the market.

OR Archer, is Curt Samples your Rep?

I feel your pain moxford. We are pretty limited on choices for bow shops here in San Jose. I made the drive up to Oregon and had Chris, "OR Archer" here on this thread make up a Hoyt carbon Spyder for me last year. No sales tax in Oregon was a plus but they also have a great bow shop. I am very pleased with Chris's work. I have a tack driver of a bow. Thanks Chris!

I've heard Preditor in Gilroy does good work, it is about the closest to us in San Jose as well. But I won't hesitate to get a bow from Chris's shop in Oregon. It was a great experience for me at least and worth the drive.

See you at the bow range. If you shoot at Black Mountain here in San Jose, I try and get there to shoot often.

Your welcome Chris. Can't say enough good and great things about your shop and your work. I've sent someone up your way already from San Jose that I met out at the bow range here who wanted a similar set up and they were happy too. Sure there might be closer options for me but I was happy going the extra mile or 567 miles for me to be exact to visit you all. :) Thanks again!

Thanks for the kind words Kevin!

Where in Oregon? No sales tax is a nice bonus!

I've been a New Breed dealer for three years now. While these bows are nothing fancy, they just flat out shoot. Super smooth draw, easy to tune, and bullet proof. This years new Blade is hands down their best now to date. I would put it in the top 5 for 2015 out of any manufacturer.

WAH!! i drove to Predator's from Concord. it was a solid 2+ hour drive. being so damn far, i had to get it all done in a day. they were cool enough to order an Energy 35 for me in my size. they put a rest on it and let me shoot it. it was WORSE than buying a new car. it took friggen forever. GREAT bow shop, but they are very popular. getting them to help me set my bow up was a lingering process. phones ringing, walk in customers, small item sales..argh.

they sell Prime as well. i still remember the drive. 94 miles. the other shop is 93 miles in exactly the opposite direction. i am in a friggen archery black hole.

welcome back to archery OP!!

Boom next time drive 30 minutes over to Sweeney's in Napa. They have Elite, Hoyt, Prime and Bow Tech. Chad does a great job on setting them up.

I agree, they are nice bows. My favorite is New Breed though. Very smooth and easy to tune for a binary. I own two. Their CS is also unsurpassed.

Agree, I am waiting for Kyle to finalize the LD version, then will have 3 NB bows.

Have you tried Fat Shafts Archery in Benicia? I have not been there, but I have a friend who thinks highly of the shop.

If you been shootin a 20+ year old bow almost anything new is gonna feel and shoot like a million bucks. I went to the pro shop, shot a couple top brands and there wasnt a whole lot that seperated them vs. my old bow, loved em all! Went with a Elite Z28 because it was on sale and Elite will overnight you a loaner bow if you break yours on a out of state hunt/hunt of a lifetime.
