I'm going on a bull elk hunt this Fall in a area that requires non lead ammunition. I'll be using my Tikka T3X Superlite chambered in 7mm-08. I know that I should probably buy a bunch of different kinds of ammo to see what my rifle likes best, but if others had some experience in this caliber and riffle, I would appreciate recommendations..

Reloader? If not Unknown Munitions, Copper Creek, and Choice Ammunition all load the 139 LRX. That’d be good elk medicine.

Barnes 120 TTSX and Hornady 139 CX are both available in factory loads.

If you are looking for factory ammo, you may consider Barnes Vor-Tx in 7-08 with 120 grain TTSX bullets. Been loading the Barnes 120 grain TTSX bullets in 7-08 for my grandson and it's performed really well from whitetails to elk.
This but I wouldn’t rule out 140 Barnes either…..Or Hornady CX. Both fantastic options.

Always have had good luck with the tsx and ttsx. Have hammers and cx I’m about to start trying

Nosler E-tips are wonderful bullets and this looks like it would serve you well! I reload the Nosler E-tips in my sons 6mm Remington and that bullet has been fantastic!
