Non-cellular Game Camera Preferences?

I just got a Moultrie Mobile Micro-42i for $40 or so for the same reason as you. So far, it takes gorgeous daytime photos, but the nighttime ones can be blurry if the animal is moving. But, it suits my needs so far and I'll likely pick up another one for scouting.
Sorry! it was $62.

I have used quite a few different makes and models and settled on the Gardepro E5S, I have 6 of them and they are my favorite for both pics and videos. If a sale happens on Amazon, you can get them in the $20-$30 range. Some of them are 3 years old and still running great. The ONLY con I have had with them is the wind noise in video mode. I tried to load a video but the system didn't like the file name.

Another vote for GardePro cams. I also use the E5S model and have replaced all my Browning cams for them. Great photos w/sound for the price. Thinking about giving their cell cams a try next.
