I probably the only one stupid enough not to get it...... But when you have a weeks worth of gear to carry plus a rifle, where do you put 60+lbs of meat?

If the pack is big enough, the meat goes up high but right next to your back and all the gear gets stuffed on the outside to keep the meat tight against your back.

If you have a full 7000 ci bag by the end of the week you brought too much gear.

Most guys use a large bag and try to keep the gear down so that there us room.

tent goes outside main bag, clothes and the rest of the sleep system get stuffed in the bottom and meat goes up top with the bag extended, then compressed. I must be missing something, I'll look at the pics again.

Same EXACT thing with Nomad combo, but more versatile.

Call me in the morning if you wanna chat.

I have been waiting/asking for a batwing pack from Kifaru for over two years. The sweet thing about them is you can load the shit out of them. Give me a couple months and I will show you bear meat and camp in one Nomad, can't wait!

Give me a few days Aron, I get my vacation check and I'll be placing an order. I'm pretty convinced with the EMRII unless you find a way to talk me out of it. Ryan, can't wait to see the pics. So I assume you will just need a separate stuff sack or bag to put all the big/bulky camp gear in? Say you use the Camp bag for example, are you supposed to put the meat in there too?

Go to the Rokslide home page and watch the Nomad videos. They should answer your questions.

I would put the meat in a gamebag. Put the meat against my back and the camp bag behind that. Have you ever used a batwing pack before? They are great for hauling awkward loads.

JQ, I misspoke, sorry. I thought I had another attachment on my bikini frame, at the top of the belt but it's a cpl inches above that. So the belt pouch will either be below the belt, hanging from those very btm clips or the top of the pouch will be just above the belt as aron shows in the pictures.

Dang. Thats what I figured after my research of looking pictures and dimensions and having my bikini frame only here.

There is no pouch that will allow the the top attachments to go into the plastic sliders that are on top of the belt and the bottom attachments to go into the plastic sliders on the bottom of the belt? I started to think probably not...

JQ, I've lashed a dry bag down there on the frame and intend to do exactly what you're wanting to do. I just don't know which accessory will fit best down there. I like the belt pouches and may add D rings to the Nomad tie down straps that go to the btm of the belt. Adding them about even with the top of the belt.

yes they are

Think you could fit them both vertically instead of having one sideways as it is here with the larges? Or would you need mediums to do that? Maybe the way they are configured here is the best method...

I was looking at Pods today and thought they could actually be perfect for me with the nomad. One with sleep system and clothes. The other with food and shelter. Drop them at camp on the way in... strap them over game on the way out. Maybe they aren't big enough I dunno?

That looks like a good way to run the Nomad. You can go from daypack to multiday by adding or removing a pod.
