That new design hamskea has for the cord tensioner scares me. Anyone put it the the ringer yet?

I kind of thought the same thing. I have seen them in person and they are fairly solid. If I switch to that tensioner I would probably tie it in like a peep sight for piece of mind. A quick tie below it would ensure it couldn’t slip down.

Thanks for your opinion. I’m pretty sure I’m going to order one.

I have the Trinity and was concerned about the "tent pole rope" style device to hold the cord in position, but as long as you put the "O" ring on the metal tab, it is pretty rock solid. I put it in place, tried to pull it out of position and swiped my hand back of forth over it, banging into it to try to simulate something that might happen in the field. It stayed put without any issues. You can pull it out of position, but it takes quite a bit of effort. I have no experience with the other rest, but the Trinity is top shelf for sure.

I HAD the Trinity on my bow for a few hours. It is a nice solid hamskea rest. The new cord lock is nice and holds. The support bar below the launcher is where I had issue. It comes to a point at the end and I found that with my open grip and no weird wrist strap the point would hit the back of hand every shot. Solid bruise just went away.
I have never had this issue with any other rest. I put the hybrid hunter back on the bow.

The Trinity is a much better rest IMO. The new cord clamp works great. I have had it on my bow for 3 months with no slippage and makes tuning much easier. If you want you can still get the clamp instead of the new one.

Does the arrow move around a lot when on a stock since there isn’t a tight containment cage like the QAD?

You still have to hold it to prevent it from plinkin against the riser...That’s exactly why I went with the Ripcord Lok, full containment without having to hold it.

I refuse to hunt with Ripcord or QAD anymore, because I've had Ripcord fall apart on me in the field, and I've watched hunting partners break Ripcord and then partners have trouble with both freezing up and failing to drop.

Hamskea fan here. I have 3 of the Hybrids.

I’ve heard the same from guys using them years ago. Apparently they changed the lube/oil inside to remedy this and are all metal construction now like hamskea. No problems so far.

This was 2017, so not what I'd call years ago...

I’ve been using the QAD for two years now and haven’t had a problem. It doesn’t get extremely cold here in southeastern Arizona so I’m not worried about anything freezing up. I just been seeing how the limb driven rest seem more efficient and easier to tune.

I have a Hamskea that is about two years old. The only issue had was last year when the cord got snagged on a branch and stretched the spring. I took the spring off and had to make a few shot to re-site it in
