So I'm looking for my first bow and the no cam is on my short list. I will probably buy used to save some money this time around, but while searching I've noticed there are a LOT of No Cams for sale. This generally gets my mind thinking there is something just not right, despite the lack of internet reports. Anyone heard anything about them being messy? I read somewhere that the cams are flexing and touching the limbs, but only at one place. It could just be me too, I generally research too much.

Just wondering. Right now I'm leaning towards the Elite Synergy, No Cam or Heli M.

You can get it set at 70% let off I believe so you will be fine in co. I have shot it and loved it. The draw is crazy smooth and easy.

There's nothing wrong with the No Cam. You see a lot of them for sale now because guys are upgrading to the new Halon 6. I've set up more No Cams than I can remember and it's by far the easiest bow to tune in my opinion. The only complaint for the No Cam is that its just really slow by today's standards.

A lot of bows are that way. There's Hoyt Nitrums all over the place from last year because the Defiant came out (again.)

And I think the NoCam is a great bow platform and it's undeniable the tuning and smoothness of draw. But I think the hype eventually aligned with the technology and people saw the King had no clothes or at least had no shirt on. People were buying them left and right...and they are good bows. But a lot of guys bought them because some dude with a bunch of posts on AT said it was the best bow on the planet and they shoot it and realize that it's not as fast as the bow they sold to buy it and that bows 20 years ago were easy to tune too. Buddy of mine told me it was for sure 100% the last bow he'd ever buy...he's already sold his and got a Halon.

Good bow, just not the bow to end all bows. So other's loss is your gain. Buy used with confidence.

Like any flagship bow from the big manufacturers, they sell a lot of them. Just means there are going to be more of them for sale used.

If you are looking at the synergy, I'd look at the e35 as well. Should be able to pick one up (or an e32) used for a good price. I picked up a used elite e35 and couldn't be happier.
