Planning a family trip for later this month that will take us into the Gila for a few days. We want to visit the cliff dwellings and then spend a little time backpack camping.

Any reccomendations or places to avoid? How's the Aldo Leopold wilderness in late April. Snow conditions, etc?

I've never been out way so any insight would be appreciated. We'll have our toddler along, but she's a beast...already done a rim to river Grand Canyon trip before her 3rd birthday.

I’ve been down this a couple times, super cool, don’t know about taking a toddler down it. It’s been pretty dry so the water may not be too high and possible to take a little one.
