Thanks! I hear it's low success but still excited for the opportunity and already drooling over Texas BBQ. I haven't been to that part of the state since college spring break ;)

Yeah it's tough... I've only hunted Laguna Atascosa NWR for archery and success is low. You going for rifle or archery? Some guys I knew drew the rifle hunt after us and killed 9 nilgai. The only reason they stopped was because they got exhausted from dealing with the meat. lol

Brownsville has some incredible Mexican food too, gotta swing by there at some point!

I have the archery permits. The hunts overlap but I'll likely spend 3 days at Teniente and 3 at LA.
That had to be a heck of a hunt pulling out 9 nilgai and talk about a LOT of good meat!

I'll be sure to check out Brownsville for some Mexican food. Appreciate the lead. In the next couple days I'll put together a restaurant "hit list".
