Nikwax vs septic tanks

For you long time users of Nikwax products who are on a septic system. Have you had any issues whatsoever with your system? It says online that it's safe but I'd rather hear from experience. This obviously isn't for guys who do it in a 5 gallon bucket but in the washing machine.

I can’t directly answer the question, but I use Nikwax and I think it would be a real stretch. You put it on and it dries, then wear it for quite a while where it breaks down and dries out and degrades. Then you wash the clothing. I’d be shocked if it was still chemically intact enough to cause problems.

The septic guy I know says people love to look at a list of bad and acceptable things to put down a toilet and then ignore it. I think everyone has seen a list like this - I could see it falling under at least a couple of no no’s.
