Nikon just released a new camera with a 125x zoom!! It has image stabilization, can take video's and still shots, and is comparable in weight to the glass spotting scopes we all have been carrying around. Price is $1,000. Has anyone thought of ditching the expensive spotting copes for a high zoom camera?

DON'T do it!!!!

The zoom is nice but the reason they have such a huge zoom is 2 fold, the sensor is so small that picture quality is not great on blow ups and the camera weighs a ton!!

For the price of the camera you can get an amazing spotting scope. Especially when you call us and let us know you are on this forum.

It's not bright and for "glassing" for any length of time this is the last thing your eyes are going to want, any camera with such a small view finer. Bring plenty of advil, you will need it. These bridge cameras are not meant to look through for any length of time. Not just this one, anyone like it.

Feel free to call us or e-mail with any questions
