Nightforce SHV. Reticle question

Looking at getting another Nightforce Scope.
I have a SHV 4-14x56 that is the non Illuminated reticle. But am wanting to get the next in a MIL.
So that puts me looking at the 4-14x50 F1.
It looks like there are 2 Mil reticles
MIL-XT & MIL-R-SHV

Do any of you feel one is better than the other for hunting?
Rifle it will be going on is a Tikka T3x in 6.5 PRC.
Hoping this is going to be my do all rifle for hunting.

I picked the mil xt. Not a fan of either though

If you’re more into doing the hold over thing, go with the XT.

Mil-R is the only mil reticle available in that scope which is usable in most hunting circumstances. I find it quite good, a click below the Maven or TMR illum. The C and XT will infuriate you against broken backgrounds.

Thought I might add to this even though its an older thread..

I have the SHV in MIL R and an ATACR 4-20 in MIL C. MIL R is OK but I like the granularity of a MIL C. If i go with another SHV I'd probably go with a MILXT simply for those .2th wind hold.
