Is this scope designed to dial elevation with the factory turret cap? I assumed these were covered and dismissed this model due to that.

The SHV models have capped turrets. The covers need to be removed to dial.

@Marshfly thats the parallax adjustment knob. The newer models dont have that and in place have the illumination adjustment knob.
